The Physical Plant has a staff of 23 employees who support 44 departments and 25 county buildings. The staff includes carpenters, electricians, a heating and air conditioning specialist, maintenance workers, housekeepers and janitors. The maintenance work force is also augmented by the trustee labor supplied by the Smith County Sheriff’s Department, at an average of 4 inmates.
