Collections Director Sheryl Keel 

The Smith County Court Collections Department assists the courts of Smith County with the collection of court-ordered fines, court costs and fees. The Collections Department will establish, based on a financial evaluation, payment plans to satisfy the defendant's court-ordered obligation. The Collections Department establishes and monitors the agreements for compliance until either the defendant satisfies the agreement or willfully refuses to comply.

Mission Statement

It is the objective and mission of the Smith County Court Collections Department to enforce and maximize the collections of court ordered fines and fees in the Smith County Courts, which enhances the integrity of the courts, increases respect for the court as an institution, discourages non-compliance by defendants and promotes the interest of justice.
