Commissioner John Moore
Smith County Commissioner John Moore has lived in Precinct 2 for more than 30 years. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler, is a writer and owns One Moore Production, an audio and marketing company based in Whitehouse.
Commissioner Moore is a conservative Republican. He represents Precinct 2, which covers the Southeast portion of Smith County, including Chapel Hill, Troup, Arp, Whitehouse and portions of Tyler.
Commissioner Moore and his wife Terry have four children and four grandchildren. The Moore's are members of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Whitehouse, where Commissioner Moore is a Deacon and serves on the worship service team.
