Human Resources Director Esmeralda Delmas

Esmeralda Delmas is the Human Resources Director for Smith County.

Her passion has always been helping others, and she believed she could do this through pursing a career in human resources.

She was born in Tyler and studied at Tyler Junior College before earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in human resources development from the University of Texas at Tyler.

She started as a probation officer for Smith County in 2008. A position in the Human Resources department later became available and Mrs. Delmas became the HR Coordinator in 2015, then the HR Director in July of 2019.
